February 17, 2025
Dear Ridgway Library Patrons,
What a busy start to the new year at the library. We are delighted to offer the 2nd Annual Adult Bingo Challenge through Monday, March 31st. With over 70 patrons signed up we look forward to lots of BINGOS! with giveaways for 1 Bingo, 3 Bingos and a Blackout, stop in and share your reading adventures. If you want to play feel free to download the bingo sheet from our website or stop by the front desk.
The library has been pleased to implement some new adult programs to start the year. If you need Quick Tech Fixes on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month a nice volunteer is giving time to offer their knowledge and help. Stop by between 4:00-6:00, no reservation is needed.
Another volunteer is offering to share her skills with Basic Sewing Classes on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of the month through April. We do require sign-ups for this class, as space is limited. We already have had a great response and thankful to offer this opportunity. If you are already skilled on a sewing machine, feel free to stop in and use our sewing machines.
The last program offering is a reintroduction to our Spanish conversational class. Caitlin, a bilingual staff member, leads Club de Conversación each week on Thursdays from 3:00-4:00. Please stop by the library to talk with Caitlin to learn more and join the class.
The library is excited to join up with the Sherbino Theater for a Sherb Talk on Wednesday February 26th featuring Jon Waterman, doors open at 6:00. There will be 5 copies of his latest book Into the thaw: Witnessing wonder amid the Arctic climate crisis as giveaways to attendees. The library is also offering FREE TICKETS to the event. Just stop by the library and enter to win at the front desk by Friday, February 21st, drawing will happen the following Monday.
